The event was coordinated by Humanity and Youth, a dynamic informal group of young people active in Gythio. The participants attended the seminar from seven countries: Greece, Estonia, Italy, Romania, Cyprus, Turkey and with youth representatives form IPMD-Skopje, the Republic of North Macedonia. The learning activities that followed the methods of “informal and non-formal” education aimed to attract new ideas and creative work to tackle problems such as unemployment, slow economic growth, seasonal adjustment during the winter, proposing solutions and alternative ideas appropriate for the Gytheion region as well as the countries of the participants facing similar problems.

2. LIFE ON SCREEN: Understanding Millennials

The main aim of the training course, was to address the gap which exists between young people and youth workers within the non-formal sector of education. It brought together youth workers Malta, Bulgaria, Italy, Latvia, (IPMD-Skopje) North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey.

On February 2nd 2019, a team of 5 young people from Macedonia took part in the international Erasmus+ youth exchange project „Sailing on Citizenship“. Together with youth representatives of 5 other countries (Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey and Croatia) participants will attend theoretical and practical workshops dedicated to exploring the European union, their rights and duties as citizens as well as their perception of the EU in future.
Half of the programme is based on creative workshops focused on building the installation of ship („CitizenShip“) that will present everything that participants have learned about the EU; everything that EU means to them. Workshops will be implemented in the local youth center, where participants will be able to build installation, draw, paint, as well as interact with local youth.
„CitizenShip“ installation, as one of the final project results, will be presented to the local citizens on the last day of the project and will be exhibited in Samobor Youth Center.

4. Media & Information Literacy

During this study visit (with representative from IPMD as a Producer), we mixed presentations, visiting organisations, discussions, working groups and presentations in a way that  give us an opportunity not only to listen and learn, but also to contribute and initiate topics of discussions. 1) Learned about and from Berlin-based organisations (Deutsche Welle, ZDF, Media Residents) and people who work with the topic of Media & Information Literacy; 2) We were offered new knowledge and inspiration; 3) We gathered and shared best practices in the field; 4) We created a fruitful basis for future cooperation between experts, participants and various organisations and media; 5) We were encouraged to take the new knowledge and ideas to our home countries and put them in practice (projects, training events, new initiatives, etc).

5. Win-Win Society

The aim is, in line with the objectives set by the European Commission for Erasmus+ in the youth field, to develop and learn through mobility using non-formal and informal learning methods. We intend to teach young people from different countries how to live and create Together with immigrants, refugees and all socially vulnerable groups, discover ways to be self-sustaining and design products, services and jobs while being beneficial to the local communities. At the same time, we will learn about human rights and life values, discrimination and stereotypes, we will identify the cultural heritage of the place and its importance, learn about interculturalism, define and meet refugees, migrants and asylum seekers and we will plan how to live together: how to co-exist, to train together and to become active citizens and social entrepreneurs for the common good

6. Visioning-Визионирај

Visioning is a public forum for presenting visions for a better community. The Concept of Visioning is a tribune with visionaries that will be held every quarter and will be thematically determined. In every quarter, Visioning will invite, but also receive / consider proposals of people from different spheres and sectors who publicly want to present their visions in fifteen minutes. Following each presentation of the visions, a session with questions / answers with the audience takes place. Together we can do more and more precisely, Visioning considers that more people should be included for the visions to receive appropriate guidance and upgrades.  Macedonian society has successful and unsuccessful versions of culture, education, art criticism, health, environment, social policy, computer technology, etc. The vision of Visioning and its team is to give space to all visionaries, to offer vision as a better version of what already exists. This forum is free of charge for visitors, volunteer organized and is supported by IPMD-Skopje.
